Implant-retained overdenture
Your denture anchors onto three or four implants and stops shifting when you eat. You still take it out to clean it, but it no longer moves on its own.

Three or four implants are placed and fitted with attachments. The denture clicks onto them and stays put. It is still removable: you take it out to clean it, as you do now. What disappears is the movement when you chew or talk.
It is the best value for money for someone who already wears a full denture and whose problem is that it does not hold, not how it looks.
It still comes out. This is not a fixed arch. If what you want is never to take anything out, the treatment you are after is the fixed full arch, and it costs more.Who it makes sense for
- You wear a lower denture and it lifts when you eat. That is the most common case and the one that responds best.
- You use adhesive every day and want to stop.
- You get sores or rubbing from the denture moving.
- You want a better hold without the cost of a fixed full arch.
How it will go, visit by visit
What to expect
In most cases the denture you already have can be used, fitting the attachments to it, provided it is in good condition. If not, a new one is made and that goes in the quote.
The attachments are wear parts: they carry rubber inserts that get replaced from time to time, usually once a year. It is a short, cheap appointment, but you should count on it.
